Energy Ways is more clearly
described as "The Ways of the Energy". It is a knowledge proprietary to Pakua.
It is the study in the Universal Energy that surrounds us, the paths that
the Energy takes within our body and the adaptation of the human body to the
Universal Energy.
The parallels between the study of Acupuncture and the study of Energy Ways
are numerous, since it essentially deals with the same exact concepts of the
Yin Yang, Sky Man Earth, Five Elements and Eight Changes. Please refer to
the section on Acupuncture of this web site, for a further explanation of
these concepts.
To differentiate these two subjects, one can consider Acupuncture or Traditional
Chinese Medicine as being more "clinical" while energy Ways is more "spiritual"
or "metaphysical". Acupuncture, as it has become increasingly popular and
known in the western world, deals with very clear paths of Energy (called
meridians) and Acupuncture Points used for the insertion of needles. Energy
Ways on the other hand, pays greater attention to the Kua (changes or mutations)
of the surroundings we evolve in. A meridian can have a certain path during
the summer time and a slightly different path in the winter.
Energy Ways can also be identified, and differentiated from Acupuncture, by
the use of the micro representations of the whole body in the hands, ears
or feet. The full paths of the Meridians of the body, the Zang Fu system of
Traditional Chinese medicine, can be traced on the palm and reverse side of
the hands. Dactyl-puncture is clearly a particularity of Pakua's Energy Ways.
The practitioner of Energy Ways can be coined as an "Harmonizer" rather than
an "Acupuncturist" and an Energy Ways Sessions is more of a "spiritual" nature
than "clinical" experience.
Diagnostics in energy Ways are done using the same techniques as traditional
Chinese Medicine, techniques such as palpation of the skin, examination of
the tongue, coloring of the face, etc. But, although these methods of diagnostics
and of observing the human characteristics are based on the same concepts
as Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture, the observations do not limit
themselves to manifestations within the human body. The study of the surrounding
Energy of the person with a disharmony, the observation of the "aura" of the
person and the emphasis on meditation and relaxation during a treatment, differs
from the more popular methods of acupuncture. A certain connection between
the Harmonizer and the person with the disharmony has to occur in order to
benefit from the full potential of an Energy Ways Treatment.
The study of Pakua's Energy Ways is an in-depth study of the Chinese Philosophy,
Social and Universal Views as well as their applications to our contemporary
lives and surroundings. The Course is divided in eight levels and leads the
student to a better integration to his surroundings as well as to a healthier
approach to life in general. This is toped by a thorough healing system that
benefits the layman and the health care professional.
